Shanahan began his career with the New Jersey Devils in 1987-88, and helped lead the fledgling franchise to their first ever playoff appearance. He moved to St. Louis to begin the 1991-92 season, and spent the next four seasons with the Blues. After a year in Hartford, Shanny joined the Red Wings where he toiled for 9 years before joining the New York Rangers where he spent 2 seasons. He currently resides back with the team he started with, the New Jersey Devils.

This future Hall of Famer is a two-time 50-goal man who has already amassed in excess of 650 goals and 1350 points in a tremendous career. His goal total currently places him 11th in the history of the sport. Lest we not forget that Shanny also has spent about 2500 minutes in the sin bin.
