Description
2006-07 Jose Theodore Avalanche Game Worn Jersey - Team Letter
Lot #70

This burgundy and blue air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Jose Theodore during the 2006-07 NHL season. Selected in the 2nd round of the 1994 NHL draft by the Montreal Canadiens, Jose began his career with the Habs during the 1995-96 campaign. Jose took hold of the city of Montreal where, in a 4-year stretch spanning 2000-01 thru 2003-04, he played in 59, 67, 57 and 67 games respectively.

The 2001-02 season was a banner one for Jose who captured not only the Vezina trophy for best goaltender, but the Hart trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player.  Winning the Hart trophy is very rare for a goaltender, as Theodore became only the 6th goalie since 1924 to capture the award.  After a decade in Montreal, Theodore followed the footsteps of the legendary Patrick Roy and took up residence in Colorado, where he resided representing the Avalanche before heading to the nations capital last year.

The game use on this size 58 goalie cut sweater is rather tough to discern based on the dark coloration. Pilling from Jose’s goalie equipment clearly exists. This jersey was worn during Theodore’s first full season in Colorado. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by an Avalanche team letter.
