Pearson awards as the NHL’s outstanding player and 2 Hart Memorial Trophies as league MVP. In 2001-02, his last season before his announced retirement; Hasek won the Trophy that had eluded him to that point, the Stanley Cup, as a member of the Detroit Red Wings. Dominik decided to make a comeback in 2003-04 and is still playing strong. His 80 career shutouts place him within a few of Glenn Hall who sits 4th place on the all-time list, while his Wins total is nearing in on 400 and the top 10 all-time in that category. He continues to post miniscule GAA despite being 43 years of age. Dom will be remembered as one of the most dominating players we’ll have seen play in our lifetimes. A first ballot Hall of Fame induction no doubt awaits him, whenever he decides to hang up his skates for good.
