This third orange air-knit tie-down gamer by Reebok was worn by Alexei Yashin during the 2006-07 NHL season. The Ottawa Senators made Yashin the 2nd overall selection in the 1992 NHL entry draft. He spent the first 7 seasons of his career in Ottawa, before joining the New York Islanders. After 5 seasons on the Island, Yashin chose to leave the NHL to continue his career in his native Russsia. Alexei scored nearly 350 goals and 800 points over his 12 year NHL career. He was a fixture on every important international event representing Team Russia, including the ‘96 World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The sleeves have been customized by the team. Worn during Alexei’s final NHL season, this alternate jersey exhibits solid game use. There are stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by a Islanders team letter.
