This home black air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Sergei Samsonov during the 2005-06 NHL season. The Boston Bruins made Samsonov the 8th overall selection in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career with Boston in 1997-98 and remained in Beantown for 8 years. A couple of brief stints in Edmonton, Montreal and Chicago followed before Sergei found a new home with the Hurricanes in Carolina. After parts of 4 seasons in Raleigh, the Canes traded Sergei to the Florida Panthers late last season. Samsonov was the NHL’s Calder Trophy winner as Rookie of the Year in 1998 and was also an NHL All Star in 2001. On the international stage Sergei has represented his native Russia in the World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics.
