This Philadelphia Flyers jersey was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection. Ken’s collection focused intently on both of Pennsylvania’s NHL hockey teams. We will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this sweater to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society both in support of Ken and to help aid in the fight against Blood Cancers.
This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Freddy Meyer during the 2005-06 NHL season. Meyer, a native of Sanbornville New Hampshire, spent 3 seasons with the US National team before graduating Boston University in 2003. He joined the Philadelphia Flyers in 2003-04 and spent parts of 3 seasons with the club before joining the Islanders in 2006-07. Freddy spent parts of 4 years in New York, another partial season with the Coyotes and skated last year for the now defunct Atlanta Thrashers.
The game wear on this size 54 set 3 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a significant team-sewn repair spanning 4 inches in length and residing beneath the left sleeve numbers. A nice example donned by this Boston University alum. This jersey will be accompanied by an NHL letter.
It comes as no surprise that this Philadelphia Flyers jersey has solid game wear, as it was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection.
