Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL Cares Katrina Relief Fund patch. The game wear on this size 58 sweater is light but obvious with stick marks on both sleeves and some board burns also worthy of mention. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, the NHL banded together to support the Katrina relief effort. At the start of the 2005-06 season, each NHL team wore a Katrina patched jersey in the 1st period of their opening home games. The NHL and the NHLPA later auctioned these jerseys with the proceeds going to support those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Pittsburgh Penguins game worn jersey tagging. A beautiful patched example worn by this highly popular rearguard during the home opener in his second full season in the NHL This jersey will be accompanied by an NHL/NHLPA letter.
