Description
2004 Mark Napier Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Classsic Game Worn Jersey
Lot #214

This white air-knit tie-down gamer by Athletic Knit was worn by Mark Napier during the 2004 Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Classic. Napier began his professional career with the Toronto Toros of the WHA winning the Lou Kaplan Trophy as the leagues top rookie in 1976. He joined the Montreal Canadiens in 1978-79 and won his first Stanley Cup that season, the Habs final of 4 straight during their late 1970’s dynasty. After spending 5+ years in Montreal, Mark was dealt to the North Stars in 1983.

His career was never the same after being dealt from the Canadiens. He spent parts of 2 years in Minnesota and was moved to the Oilers where he won his final Stanley Cup before finishing his NHL career in Buffalo. Napier was a force in the WHA scoring 136 goals and 254 points in 237 games. His 60 goals in 1976-77 was good for 3rd best that season. His stellar play gained him 2 WHA All Star berths. Mark twice netted 40 goals in his NHL career, both with Montreal in the early 1980’s. On the left breast is a black sharpie autograph in Napier’s own hand. The jersey will be accompanyied by a Channel Sports letter.
