Doug began his NHL career as a member of the New York Rangers in 1990-91. He remained a Ranger for 3 seasons before a deadline deal sent him to the Edmonton Oilers. After 9 seasons with the Oilers, Dougie moved onto the St. Louis Blues where he just completed his 5th season with the club. A deadline deal in 2006, which was essentially a loan, proved a good one for Weight and the Carolina Hurricanes who captured the 2006 Stanley Cup, the first for each. Doug is a 4-time NHl All Star who has represented Team USA in numerous World Championships, the World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics. He is poised to break the 1000 point barrier sometime next season.
