This white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Chris Pronger during the 2003-04 NHL regular season and playoffs. Pronger is in the midst of a Hall of Fame career that began in 1993 when Hartford made him the 2nd overall selection in the NHL Entry Draft that year. Chris spent 2 seasons on the Whalers blueline before a blockbuster deal sent him to St. Louis in exchange for Brendan Shanahan. Chris spent 9 seasons honing his craft in St. Louis before joining Edmonton for a year. He next spent 3 seasons with Anaheim and most recently can be found delivering bone crunching hits for the Philadelphia Flyers.
Pronger’s additions to Edmonton, Anaheim and Philadelphia all saw his teams make it to the Stanley Cup Finals in his frst year of service in his new digs, quite a statement. It would then come as no surprise that Pronger has won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman, the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s Most Valuable Player along with a couple of plus/minus awards and a Stanley Cup. Chris is a 4-time 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star and has played in a handful of NHL All Star games. No stranger to the international stage, Pronger has represented Team Canada in 4 different Olympics!
The game wear on this 3rd set size 58 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, pulls, pilling and a well-salted fight strap. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This was presumably Pronger’s last St. Louis Blues jersey as he joined the Edmonton Oilers following the Blues 2004 playoff exit. This jersey will be accompanied by a Blues team letter.
