This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Sean Avery during the 2002-03 NHL season. Avery is an undrafted winger who is in the midst of a 15+ year hockey career. He began his NHL career in 2001-02 with the Red Wings and has been an NHL regular ever since, skating for the Wings, Kings, Stars and Rangers. Through the end of last season, Avery had accumulated 1512 PIMS in 565 NHL games and has the distinction of having a rule named on his behalf. “The Avery Rule” came about after Avery’s constant annoyance and screening of New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Broduer during the 2007-08 Stanley Cup playoffs.
The game wear on this 2nd set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and 8 team-sewn repairs.
