This amazing jersey was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection. We will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this sweater to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society both in support of Ken and to help aid in the fight against Blood Cancers.
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Rod Brind’Amour during the 2002-03 NHL season. Brind’Amour recently wrapped up his 21st and final NHL season. This lengthy career began in 1988 with the St. Louis Blues where Rod spent 3 years before joining the Philadelphia Flyers. He would play for the Flyers for 9 years before joining his most recent squad, the Carolina Hurricanes, where he resided for the past decade. During his career, Rod won a Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes, played in the NHL All Star game and captured back to back Frank Selke Trophy’s as the leagues best defensive forward while representing Carolina. To his credit are 452 goals and 1184 career points. Rod has represented Team Canada in both the Olympics and the inaugural World Cup of Hockey in 1996.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 2nd set sweater is solid consisting of stick and slash marks, plenty of board burns, board paint transfer and un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and 7 team-sewn repairs. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Brind’Amour’s own hand. On the inside hem is the official Carolina Hurricanes game worn jersey and set information. A stunning well worn gamer that will please the most ardent Brind’Amour collector, choice! This jersey will be accompanied by a Hurricanes team letter.
