This white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Rick DiPietro during the 2002-03 NHL season, his first in the NHL. Following a season at Boston University, DiPietro was the #1 overall selection in the 2000 NHL entry draft. He has spent his entire 7 year career with the New York Islanders and figures to be around for a long time. In the summer of 2006, Dipietro signed a 15-year contract with the Islanders. This was the longest contract ever signed in the history of the NHL. Rick, a Winthrop MA native, has already represented Team USA in the Olympics. Rick missed most of last season due to injury but appears ready to join with fellow #1 draftee John Tavares as the Islanders drive along the road to recovery.
Game wear on this size 60 goalie cut jersey is solid. There are a number of visible stick and puck marks, plenty of goal-post-paint transfer found along both sleeves and fine inner pilling. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by an NHL letter.
