This beautiful red, white and blue knit tie-down gamer by Bauer was worn by Taylor Pyatt during the 2001-02 AHL season. Pyatt was the 8th overall selection in the 1998 NHL entry draft by the New York Islanders. After a year on the Island, Pyatt was dealt to the Sabres where he spent his first 27 games in Rochester before joining the parent club. Since his call up to Buffalo during the 2001-02 season he has been a staple in the Sabres and more recently the Vancouver Canucks NHL lineups.
Sewn to the right breast of this ‘Stars and Bars’ sweater is the Frontier DSL patch. A plain white rectangular patch is sewn above the Bauer patch on the back hem while a smaller blue patch is sewn above the Bauer logo on the right breast. The game use on this sweater is solid. It is littered with stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, numerous un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. A choice minor league example worn by this NHLer. This jersey will be accompanied by an Americans team letter.
