This road red air-knit gamer by Koho was worn by Sergei Fedorov during the 2001-02 Stanley Cup Playoffs and Finals. Fedorov finished his NHL career with 483 career goals and 1179 points. Just as impressive are his 176 career playoff points in 183 games played, which rank him in the upper echelon all-time in that vaunted category. Sergei has 3 Stanley Cups to his credit and other hardware in tow that includes (2) Frank J. Selke trophies as the leagues best defensive forward, a Lester B.Pearson award as the NHL’s outstanding player and a Hart trophy as the NHL’s Most Valuable Player.
Fedorov joined the Red Wings in 1990 and remained with the club for 13 years. He would spend another handful of seasons representing the likes of Anaheim, Columbus and Washington before heading to Russia where he has played in the KHL for the past few years. This 50-Goal scorer, and former league MVP, will undoubtedly take a place among his peers in Hockey’s Hall of Fame in the coming years.
This spectacular gamer was worn in the playoffs and Finals during the Red Wings 3rd Stanley Cup winning season of the modern era. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2002 Stanley Cup Finals patch. Sergei’s typical sleeve customizations at the cuffs are in tow. The game wear on this 1st playoff set size 52 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling, a well-salted fight strap and more than a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs, leaving no doubt about the battles that Fedorov went through while wearing this exact jersey during the run to Lord Stanley’s Cup. This spectacular jersey has been photo matched to gettyimages #789019 taken during a goal celebration in game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, NC, a game that the Red Wings won in triple overtime. Shown above, for your enjoyment, is a montage of Fedorov’s goals from the 2002 playoff run. On the inside hem and in the collar is the official Detroit Red Wings game worn jersey tagging. Outstanding gamer, donned by this future Hall of Famer during the 3rd of his 4 Stanley Cup winning playoff runs, choice! This jersey will be accompanied by a Red Wings team letter.
