Description
1999-00 Pat Verbeek Detroit Red Wings Authentic Jersey
Lot #441
This white air-knit authentic jersey was manufactured by Nike. The New Jersey Devils selected Verbeek in the 3rd round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Verbeek began his career with the New Jersey Devils during their first ever season in 1982-83. He would soon become one of the team’s stars and in 1987-88 lead them to their first ever playoff appearance behind a 46 goal and 227 PIM season.

After 7 seasons in New Jersey, Verbeek was dealt to the Hartford Whalers where he toiled with great success for 6 years before joining the New York Rangers, who acquired Pat in an attempt to repeat as Stanley Cup champions in 1995. The 1995-96 season saw Verbeek power the Rangers to their last serious Cup run, as he tabbed 41 goals in a mere 69 games.

Verbeek finally captured the Stanley Cup as a member of the Dallas Stars during the late 1990’s before spending a couple of season with the Detroit Red Wings. Pat played one final year after leaving Detroit, returning to Dallas in 2001-02. All told, Verbeek tallied 522 goals, 1063 points and 2905 PIMS. Pat tallied better than 40 goals in a season four different times for three different teams. He represented Team Canada in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and partook in a couple of NHL All Star games. He remains to this day the only player in NHL history to have scored better than 500 goals while amassing 2500 PIMS.

This Detroit Red Wings, size 52, authentic jersey has the player name "Verbeek" on the back. The player number "15" is on both sleeves and the back while the "Year 2000" patch sits on the right breast.
