1999-00 Mika Noronen Rochester Americans Game Worn Jersey - "ESL" - Team Letter
Lot #254

This home white knit gamer by Bauer was worn by goaltender Mika Noronen during the 1999-00 AHL season. Noronen, Finish born, was the Sabres 1st round selection in the 1997 NHL entry draft. The 1999-00 AHL season was Noronen’s rookie campaign in the AHL and his stellar play was so recognized, having been awarded the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial award as the league’s outstanding rookie. The following season saw Noronen win the Harry Hap Holmes Memorial Award for best GAA in the AHL. Noronen soon joined the American’s parent squad, the Buffalo Sabres where he spent 5 NHL seasons.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the ESL patch. Game use on this behemoth size 58-Goalie cut sweater is solid consisting of many stick and puck marks, plenty of goal post paint transfer, washed out bloodstains and fine pilling both inside and out. An awesome example worn by this Scandanavian netminder. This jersey will be accompanied by an Americans team letter.
