The 1999-00 AHL season was Noronen’s rookie campaign in the AHL and his stellar play was so recognized, having been awarded the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial award as the league’s outstanding rookie. Noronen soon joined the American’s parent squad, the Buffalo Sabres where he spent 5 NHL seasons. These brilliant red knit gamers were worn by the American’s as their Friday Night alternate game jerseys. Sewn to the right breast is the Bob Johnson Chevrolet patch.
