This home white air-knit tie-down gamer by Pro Player was worn by Kevin Stevens during the 1999-00 NHL season. This Brockton Massachusetts native spent 4 years at Boston College before embarking on his NHL career which began in Pittsburgh in 1987-88. Kevin excelled for much of his 8 years in the Steel City before an injury changed the face of his star laden career.
A bad head injury during the 1993 playoffs as the Pens were making a run at a 3rd straight Stanley Cup left Kevin and his Penguins never quite the same. During his time in Pittsburgh he won 2 Stanley Cups, had back to back 50-goal seasons, played in 3 NHL All Star games and was 3-times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star at Left Wing playing alongside Mario Lemieux.
The mid 90’s began a journey thru Boston, LA, New York, Philadelphia and finally back to Pittsburgh where his career came to an end in 2002. Though a gifted scorer, Kevin also played with a hard nosed edge racking up 1470 PIMS. His career best came in 1991-92, where he spent 254 minutes in the sin-bin. During his 100+ game playoff career Kevin averaged better than a point per game, playing a key role in the Pens back to back Cup titles in the early 1990’s.
