This Philadelphia Flyers jersey was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection. Ken’s collection focused intently on both of Pennsylvania’s NHL hockey teams. We will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this sweater to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society both in support of Ken and to help aid in the fight against Blood Cancers.
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Andy Delmore during the 1999-00 NHL season. Delmore broke into the NHL in 1998-99 and spent parts of 3 seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers. His career then took him to Nashville for 2 years, Buffalo for a year and Columbus for a final season. Andy later spent time in the AHL and Europe. In fact, he won the 2005-06 Eddie Shore Award as the AHL’s best defenseman while playing for the Syracuse Crunch.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the year 2000 NHL patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a fight strap that has lost the battle to salt and rust, inner pilling and 7 sizable team-sewn repairs. It comes as no surprise that this year 2000 Philadelphia Flyers jersey has solid game wear, as it was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection.
