This beautiful jersey was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection. We will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this sweater to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society both in support of Ken and to help aid in the fight against Blood Cancers.
This home white air-knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Patric Kjellberg during the 1998-99 NHL season. The Montreal Canadiens, in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, selected Kjellberg, a native of Trelleborg, Sweden. After a handful of years in the SEL, Patric came to North America for a season where he played for both Montreal and their AHL affiliate Fredericton. It was a successful season for the Swede as the Canadiens captured the Stanley Cup that spring. Following the season, Kjellberg returned home to Sweden and remained there, playing for the next 5 seasons in the SEL. Patric returned to the NHL with the expansion Nashville Predators in 1998. He spent parts of 4 seasons with Nashville before spending 2 more with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks after which he retired from the sport.
Sewn to the shoulders of this gamer are the Inaugural season patch ‘Nashville 98’. The game wear on this sweater is solid consisting of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, pulls and fine pilling as well as 3 team-sewn repairs. A tremendous first year example! This jersey will be accompanied by a Predators team letter.
It comes as no surprise that this Nashville Predators jersey has solid game wear, as it was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection.
