1998-99 John LeClair Flyers Game Game Worn Jersey
Lot #79

This home white air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by John LeClair during the 1998-99 NHL season. With better than 400 goals to his credit, John clearly established himself as one of the best power forwards of the 1990’s. John represented the Flyers in numerous NHL All Star games and was 5-times either a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star at Left Wing.

Leclair formed a terrorizing duo on the Legion of Doom alongside Eric Lindros for much of the 1990’s, wreaking havoc on opponents. He tabbed 50 goals in 3 consecutive seasons and followed them with a couple of 40-goal years before a back injury began taking its toll. LeClair played a key role in helping the Montreal Canadiens win the 1993 Stanley Cup, the only Cup win of his careeer. He has represented Team USA in the 1996 World Cup of hockey, where he was voted a World Cup All Star, as well as in the Olympic Games. Also to his credit are 2 Bud Ice Plus/Minus awards.

Sewn to the left breast is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game use consists of many stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and washed out bloodstains.
