1997-98 Ken Wregget Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match
Lot #259

This road black air-knit gamer by Starter was worn by Ken Wregget during the 1997-98 NHL season. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Wregget in the 3rd round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in 1983-84 and represented the Leafs for parts of 6 seasons before a deal that sent him to Philadelphia. Kenny spent parts of 4 years with the Flyers before the Penguins acquired him along with Rick Tocchet in exchange for Mark Recchi in 1991-92. He would go on to win his only Cup later that spring. Wregget spent 7 years with the Penguins before lone seasons with the Flames and Red Wings. All told Kenny spent 17 seasons guarding the pipes. He played in 575 games and ended his career with 225 Wins.
Offered here is Wregget’s road gamer from his last season in Pittsburgh. The game wear on this size 60 goalie cut sweater consists of stick and puck marks along with several areas of heavy external pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Wregget wearing this exact jersey during the 1997-98 season. A nice example from Kenny’s last year with the Penguins.
