This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Derek Morris during the 1997-98 NHL season, his rookie year. Morris was selected in the 1st round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames and spent the first 5 years of his career with them. Following 2 seasons in Colorado, Derek joined the Phoenix Coyotes where he spent the next 5 seasons. Short stints followed in Beantown and on Broadway before Derek returned to Phoenix at the deadline this past season.
The game wear on this rookie sweater is solid with loads of stick and slash marks, plenty of board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. The front collar has been tugged upon, the stitching having popped and been left un-repaired. On the inside hem is the official Calgary Flames game worn jersey information. Fantastic looking rookie sweater with exceptional game wear and worn as Derek made the NHL’s All-Rookie Team in 1997-98! This jersey will be accompanied by a Flames team letter.
