This home white air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Chris Terreri during the 1997-98 NHL season. The New Jersey Devils drafted Terreri in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. This Providence Rhode Island native spent 4 years at Providence College where he became a highly decorated goaltending collegian in 1985. That year, Chris was named the Hockey East Player of the Year and a 1st Team All Star, NCAA East 1st Team All Star, NCAA Championship All Tournament Team and the 1985 NCAA Championship Tournament MVP. Chris would then spend plenty of time with the US National Team, he played in various World Championships and the 1988 Olympics.
He began his NHL career in New Jersey in 1986-87. All told he woud tend goal in the NHL for 14 seasons, spending parts of 12 of them with the Devils. Terreri also represented the San Jose Sharks, the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Islanders. Since retiring he has spent much of the past decade working behind the bench for Albany, Lowell and the Devils themselves.
The 1997-98 season saw Terreri appear in 21 games for the Hawks, where he posted 8 Wins, 2 by way of shutout and a solid 2.41 GAA. Offered here is Terreri’s 1st set gamer from that season. This size 56 goalie cut jersey features extra wide custom sleeves and a shortened body. This sweater shows solid game wear that consists of stick and puck marks, washed out bloodstains, pulls, pilling and some team-sewn repairwork just above the Chief’s head. Penned in black sharpie behind the NHL shield is the notation 97-4. Nice offering from Terreri’s only full season with the Hawks. This jersey will be accompanied by a Blackhawks team letter.
