This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bryan Smolinski during the 1997-98 NHL season. Smolinski, a Toledo Ohio native, spent 4 seasons at Michigan State University prior to joining the NHL. A 1st round draft pick by the Boston Bruins, Bryan spent 3 years in Beantown before stints in Pittsburgh, New York, Los Angeles, Ottawa, Chicago, Vancouver and Montreal. All told Bryan spent 15 seasons in the NHL spanning 1056 games. ‘Smoke’ was a 30-goal man who registered 274 of them over the course of his career.
Solid game use exists on this sweater in the form of stick marks, board burns, paint transfer, heavy pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Found on the inside crest is the equipment manager’s official game worn certification. One of the nicer jerseys that came out of the Islander’s team sets we purchased from them back in the late 1990’s.
