Description
1995-96 Joel Otto Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #214
This road orange air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Joel Otto during the 1995-96 NHL season. Otto enjoyed a 14-year NHL career, spending his first 11 seasons with the Calgary Flames before moving to Philadelphia for his final 3 seasons. Otto made 3 trips to the Finals and won a Stanley Cup in 1989 with Calgary. After nearly 1000 games and 2000 PIMS, Otto will be thought of as one of the premier defensive forwards and penalty killers of his generation. He was often assigned the daunting task of shutting down the opposing players star centers and spent plenty of ice time creating havoc for the likes of Gretzky and Messier during the hey day of the 1980’s when the battle of Alberta roared its very loudest.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this size 56 gamer is the alternte Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains, a salted fight strap and heavy inner pilling. Worn by Otto during his first year in Philly as he racked up 115 PIMS and 41 points in 67 games of action.
