This road blue knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Andre Racicot during the 1995-96 IHL season. The Montreal Canadiens selected Racicot in the 4th round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. After 5 seasons with Les Habitants, Racicot embarked on a lengthy minor-pro career that also saw him play overseas. All told this Quebec native spent nearly 20 years between the pipes in his career. In 1989-90, his first season with the Canadiens organization, Racicot won the Hap Homes Memorial Award.
Racicot spent a partial season in the IHL in 1995-96, playing for both the Indianpolis Ice and the Peoria Rivermen. Andre played in 4 regualr season games and another 11 in the playoffs for Peoria that year. Offered here is Racicot’s road sweater from that campaign. The game wear on this size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and puck marks, abrasions, tears and slices, fine pilling inside and out as well as plenty of washed out bloodstains. A beautiful minor league example donned by this former Montreal Canadiens goalie. This jersey will be accompanied by a Rivermen team letter.
