Description
1994-95 Guy Carbonneau St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey The Guy Carbonneau Collection Guy Carbonneau Letter
Lot #305
It is with great pleasure that we bring to you this collection of game worn jerseys directly from the personal collection of 3-time Stanley Cup Champion Guy Carbonneau. Each game worn jersey has been in Guy’s personal collection since leaving the ice and is fresh to the hobby. A signed letter from Mr. Carbonneau will accompany your purchase.

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Guy Carbonneau during the 1994-95 NHL season. The Montreal Canadiens selected Carbonneau in the 3rd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Guy made his NHL debut in 1980-81 with Les Habitants and spent the first 13 years of his 19-year, 1318-game NHL career with Montreal. Following 2 Stanley Cup titles with the Canadiens, Carbonneau spent a season with the St. Louis Blues before joining the Dallas Stars where he spent the final 5 years of his storied career. During his final 2 years with the Stars, Carbonneau made back-to-back trips to the Stanley Cup Finals and skated away with his 3rd Stanley Cup ring. In the tradition of Bob Gainey before him, Carbonneau took over the reigns as the NHL’s best defensive forward and was so recognized with 3 Frank J. Selke Trophies spanning 1988 to 1992.

The game wear on this 1st set size 52 sweater is solid and consists of many stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer and fine inner pilling. On the inside hem is the official St. Louis Blues game worn jersey and set information alongside the Blues team id number. Carbonneau spent merely one season in St. Louis, the strike shortened 1994-95 campaign, thus making the acquisition of one of his STL Blues gamers an incredibly challenging task for hobbyists. This tough to find example will be accompanied by Mr. Carbonneau’s signed LOA and hails straight from Guy’s personal collection where it sat incredibly preserved since leaving the ice more than 20 years ago.
