This road black knit gamer by CCM was worn by Frederic Deschenes during the 1997-98 IHL season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Deschenes in the 5th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. In a career that has spanned 18 seasons, dating back to 1993-94 to the present day, Deschenes has palyed in the QMJHL, AHL, CoHL, IHL, ECHL, QSPHL, QSMHL, QSCHL and the LNAH. ‘The Franchise’ as he is known, holds the record for shutouts in a single Memorial Cup season and was named 1st Team All Star, Goaltender of the year, Most Outstanding Goaltender - Memorial Cup and won the Jacques Plante Memorial Trophy all in 1995-96. Freddie also holds nearly every important goaltending record for the Johnstown Chiefs and is the single season record holder for shutouts in an LNAH season.

Deschenes spent the first two years of his playing career with the Granby Bisons. The game wear on this size 56 goalie cut sweater consists of stick and puck marks, an un-repaired slash gash, areas of fine pilling and a sizable 4 inch long material backed team-sewn repair that rests just beneath the back player numbers. A nice rookie era gamer worn by ‘The Franchise’.
