Vitali, a Moscow native, spent a mere 2 seasons and part of a 3rd in the NHL, all with the St. Louis Blues. The Blues drafted him in the 3rd round of the 1992 NHL entry draft. Vitali played in Russia for 7 years prior to coming to North America. He would play another 8 seasons afterward, spread out among Europe and Russia.
