This white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Alexei Yashin during the 1993-94 NHL All Star game in what was his rookie year in the league. The Ottawa Senators made Yashin the 2nd overall selection in the 1992 NHL entry draft. He spent the first 7 seasons of his career in Ottawa, before joining the New York Islanders. After 5 seasons on the Island, Yashin chose to leave the NHL to continue his career in his native Russsia. Alexei scored nearly 350 goals and 800 points over his 12 year NHL career. He was a fixture on every important international event representing Team Russia, including the ‘96 World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics.
Affixed to the inside hem of this sweater is the Upper Deck Authenticated Hologram. The 1994 Madison Garden All Star game patches are sewn to the shoulders. A black sharpie signature exists in Yashin’s own hand between the back numbers. This lightly worn sweater was donned by Yashin during his rookie season while representing the Senators in the 1994 All Star game.
