Description
1992-93 Warren Rychel Kings Game Worn Jersey - ROOKIE
Lot #195

This road black knit gamer by CCM was worn by noted goon Warren Rychel during the 1992-93 NHL season. Rychel is one of the modern generations legendary bad boys. Following a minor league career that saw Warren rack up in excess of 2000 PIMS, he next brought his iron fists to the NHL. Warren played 5 games over the course of 2 seasons for Chicago before landing a full time gig with the Kings where he served as both a team enforcer and personal protector for Wayne Gretzky. Warren spent two full seasons in LA and accumulated better than 300 PIMS in each! His short NHL career spanned 406 games that saw him rack up 1422 PIMS, a rate of 3.5 per game!

This sweater was worn during his rookie season, one that saw him tab 314 PIMS as the Kings marched all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. Sewn to the inside hem is the official LA Kings game worn jersey tagging which houses the signed initials of Peter Millar. Fine game use should be expected and this example doesn’t disappoint. Stitch pops in the collar attest to fight abuse while stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and team-sewn repair work are readily evident as well. A fine looking example from this tough guys rookie NHL campaign, choice.
