This road orange air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Pelle Eklund during the 1992-93 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Eklund in the 8th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. He would go onto a 9-year NHL career that began in 1985-86. He spent all but 5 of those games in a Flyers uniform and became quite a popular figure in Philadelphia. Pelle took part in the Flyers run to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 1987, in his 2nd season in the league. This came only a year after a rookie Eklund lost his fellow countryman and teammate Pelle Lindbergh in a tragic car crash.
Sewn to the right breast of this size 48 gamer is the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodststains and inner pilling. A nice vintage Flyers jersey.
