This red knit practice jersey by CCM was worn by Vladimir Malakhov circa the 1990’s. Malakhov entered the NHL in 1992-93 with the upstart New York Islanders and provided an offensive lift to their blueline. In 64 games as a rookie, he scored 14 goals and 52 points. He remained with the Islanders for a couple more seasons before joining the Montreal Canadiens where he played for parts of 6 years. Sandwiched around a 4-year stay on Broadway, Vladimir also played for the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers. All told he spent 13 seasons in the NHL. During that time he captured a Stanley Cup in 2000 with New Jersey.
