This road orange air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Ron Sutter during the 1990-91 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Sutter with the 4th overall pick in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Sutter began his NHL career with the Flyers in 1982-83 and spent the first 9 years of his 19-year NHL career in the City of Brotherly Love. This feisty center iceman also represented the Blues, Nordiques, Islanders, Bruins, Sharks and Flames. In 1093 games played, Ron racked up 1352 PIMS. Sutter was an integral part of the Keenan led Flyers teams that made 2 trips to the Cup Finals in a 3-year span in the mid 1980’s. In the late 1980’s, Sutter became the 8th player named Team Captain in Flyers history.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of plenty of stick and slash marks, numerous board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops and fine inner pilling. A beautiful autograph in Sutter’s own hand resides on the back player number. A terrific looking Captain’s gamer!
