This road red mesh gamer by Aaron Enterprises was worn by John Gruden during the 1990-91 CCHA season. The Boston Bruins selected Gruden in the 8th round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After graduating from Ferris State University, this Virginia, MN native began his NHL career with the Bruins in 1993-94. Gruden spent 3 seasons with Boston, 2 more with the Ottawa Senators and a final year with the Washington Capitals before retiring.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the CCHA’s 20-year anniversary patch. Sewn to the left breast is the American Flag to commemorate the Gulf War. Worn during Gruden’s first year of college, the game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, inner pilling and several team-sewn repairs.
