This white mesh gamer was worn by goaltender Vladimir Myshkin during 1989 while playing for Moscow Dynamo. Myshkin was the longtime backup to Soviet standout Vladislav Tretiak. He was chosen by coach Viktor Tikhonov to start the deciding 3rd game of the 1979 Challenge Cup Series ahead of Tretiak and posted a shutout, thus leading the Soviet Union to victory. Myshkin also replaced Tretiak in the “Miracle On Ice” game, coming in to start the 2nd period in one of history’s most famous contests. Vlad is an Olympic Gold Medal Winner, was a Canada Cup winner and also won numerous Gold Medals at the European World Championships.
