This road red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Todd Ewen during the 1989-90 NHL season. Originally a draft choice of the Edmonton Oilers, Ewen began his NHL career with the St. Louis Blues in 1986-87. He remained in St. Louis for 3+ seasons before a deal sent him to the Montreal Canadiens. Todd played in Montreal for 4 seasons and then spent 3 more in Anaheim and a final year in San Jose. This enforcer is considered among the toughest of his generation. He played in 518 games and racked up 1911 PIMS! He set a single-season career high with 285 PIMS in a mere 53 games while playing for Anaheim in 1995-96.
Ewen joined the Canadiens during the 1989-90 season and partook in 41 games for Les Habitants while racking up 158 PIMS while wearing this sweater during road games. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, a salted fight strap, fine inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs.
