This road black knit gamer by CCM and Century Sports was worn by Jay Caufield during the 1988-89 NHL season. Caufield, a Philadelphia native, broke onto the scene with the Rangers in 1986-87. A 1-game stint in Minnesota preceeded his time with the Penguins which began during the 1988-89 season and lasted 5 years which included the Penguins 2 Stanley Cups in the early 1990’s. This 6’ 4” defenseman played with a hard edge as evidenced by his 759 PIMs in 208 career games. His highest individual total of 285 PIMS came in 58 games while wearing this very sweater during the 1988-89 season.
