This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Darren Eliot during the 1988-89 AHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Eliot in the 6th round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. After graduating from Cornell University, Eliot spent much of the next year tending goal for the Canadian National Team, before he joined the Kings organization. Eliot would spend 5 years in the NHL, playing 3 seasons with the Kings, one more with the Red Wings and a final year with the Sabres.
The 1988-89 season was the last year of Eliot’s playing career. He spent a good portion of the year in between the pipes for Rochester, appearing in 23 games for the Americans. Offered here is Eliot’s home jersey from that, his only season with Rochester. The sleeves on this jersey have been customized, with extensions added by the team. The game wear on this sweater is solid with stick and puck marks, goal post and crossbar paint transfer, sweat stains around the collar and at the end of the sleeves as well as areas of pilling. Also worthy of mention is a nameplate and crest change.
