This home white air-knit gamer was worn by Brent Hughes during the 1988-89 NHL season, his rookie year. Hughes was a tough-nosed winger who earned a call up to Winnipeg in 1988-89 after putting up 34 goals, 68 points and 286 PIMS in 54 games for the Moncton Hawks of the AHL earlier that season. Brent would spend 8 seasons in the NHL representing Winnipeg, Boston, Buffalo and the Islanders. In 357 games played he racked up 831 PIMS.
Sewn to the left shoulder of this rookie sweater is the Goals for Kids patch. Brent played in 28 games during his rookie season, while racking up 82 PIMS. The game wear on this road sweater consists of stick marks, board burns and inner pilling. A nice vintage offering from this defunct squad.
