This road black mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Rob Buskas during the 1987 NHL season. Buskas, who was born in Medicine Hat Alberta, spent the first 7 years of his 10 year NHL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Buskas played a rough and tumble defense and spent many a year playing policeman for a young Mario Lemieux. In 556 career games played Rob racked up an impressive 1294 PIMS.
This 1980’s style harkens back memories of the early years of Mario Lemieux. Game wear is solid on this sweater consisting of numerous stick marks and board burns, board paint transfer, heavy inner pilling, loads of small un-repaired burn holes, an un-repaired gash to the front hem and a Frankenstein like repair in the upper arm region. There is little doubt that Buskas spent plenty of time honing his craft in this sweater.
