This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Terry Carkner during the 1987-88 NHL season. Carkner enjoyed a 13-year NHL career that began in New York in 1986-87 following his selection by the Rangers in the 1st round in 1984. Following a season in Quebec, Terry joined the Flyers where he roamed the blueline for 5 seasons. Next it was onto Detroit and then Florida where he wrapped up his career. This steady defenseman played in 858 games and racked up 1588 PIMS. For his first 8 seasons Terry tabbed triple digit PIM totals including a 200+ PIM year in Philadelphia.
The game wear on this sweater is solid with numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, plenty of washed out bloodstains, fine inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs, ranking it as one of the better worn Quebec examples from that era. Unfortunately this sweater suffers from cracking to the screened on areas, a sad commonality on these vintage Nordiques gamers.
