This road green heavy mesh gamer by CCM and Steichens was worn by Dave Gagner during the 1987-88 NHL season. Gagner enjoyed a 15-year NHL career that saw him play for the New York Rangers, Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks. He ran off 6 consecutive 30+ goal seasons, which included twice reaching the 40-goal mark. In his career he tabbed better than 300 goals. Dave was an NHL All Star in 1991, the same season that he helped lead the North Stars to the Stanley Cup Finals with 12 goals and 27 points in 23 playoff contests that season.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the ever desirable JM patch. Sewn in the collar are the CCM and year tagging. As is commonplace on these JM patched gamers, the use is light consisting of some stick marks, board burns, a touch of board paint transfer and inner pilling. This is a fine patched example, worn by Gagner in his first year with the now defunct club that toted the green and gold.
ADDENDUM:
Please note that this jersey was also likely worn by Raimo Helminen during the latter part of the 1986-87 season. Helminen played 6 games for the North Stars in 1986-87.
