This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Chris Kotsopolous during the 1987-88 NHL season. Kotsopoulos began his 10-year NHL career with the New York Rangers in 1980-81, where in 54 games he compiled 153 PIMS. After a year in New York, he began a 4-year stint with the Hartford Whalers. Chris then joined the Maple Leafs and played for them for 4 years, before spending a final season with the Detroit Red Wings. This stay at home defenseman was a noted tough guy who wasn’t afraid to clear creases and drop em’ when necessary. In 479 NHL games Chris racked up 827 PIMS.
The game wear on this vintage Leafs sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, a fight strap that’s lost the battle to salt and rust, heavy inner pilling and more than a handful of team-sewn repairs. A nice vintage Leafs sweater that was worn by Kotsy during his last year in Toronto.
