This road red air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Andy Brickley during the 1987-88 NHL season. The 1987-88 season holds a special place in the hearts of Devils fans, for it was their initial foray into the NHL playoffs. Their playoff run ended after a hard fought battle at the hands of the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Brickley, a Massachusetts native, began his career with the Flyers after 3 seasons at the University of New Hampshire. Two seasons with the Penguins were next followed by two with New Jersey. Andy then called Boston home for 4 years before wrapping up his career with the Winnipeg Jets where he played for 2 seasons.
Solid game use exists in the form of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, heavy inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repair work, which includes a significant reinforcement of the collar. A fine looking, well worn example from the Devils first magical playoff season.
