This home purple and gold knit gamer by CCM was worn by Craig Duncanson during the 1986-87 NHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Duncanson with the 9th overall pick in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. Much was expected from this power forward who scored points and racked up penalty minutes at a healthy clip throughout his junior and minor league career. He spent parts of 7 years in the NHL, the first 5 of them with the Kings. Other stops included the Jets and Rangers where he last suited up in 1992-93.

The 1986-87 season saw Duncanson play in a mere 2 games for the Kings. In those 2 games during his sophomore season, Craig amassed 24 PIMS! Offered here is Duncanson’s home sweater from that sophomore season. Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the LA Kings 20-year anniversary patch. Sewn into the collar is the born on tag that reads 86-01. As expected, light but obvious game wear exists on this sweater with stick and slash marks on both sleeves and the body, stitch pops and inner pilling on the inside of both elbows. Shown above are video highlights of Duncanson letting fly against Garth Butcher while wearing this exact jersey during the 1986-87 season. This jersey is fresh to the hobby, having been buried away in a private collection for nearly the past quarter century. This still vibrant, anniversary patched and video matched example would make a nice addition for the Kings or type style collector.
