This home white heavy mesh gamer by CCM and Steichens was worn by Brian MacLellan during the 1986-87 NHL season. MacLellan began his NHL career with the LA Kings following a 4-year college career at Bowling Green University and most of a season with the AHL’s New Haven Nighthawks. He spent part of 4 seasons with LA and another partial season with the Rangers prior to landing with the Minnesota North Stars in 1986. Brian would play wearing the green and gold for 3 seasons before moving on to the Calgary Flames and Detroit Red Wings. All told, MacLellan spent 10 seasons in the NHL.
The game wear on this heavy mesh sweater is solid consisting of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling, un-repaired burn holes and approximately 10 team-sewn repairs. The 1986-87 campaign was MacLellan’s finest statistically as a North Star as he netted a career high in goals with 32.
