This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Lucien Deblois circa 1985. Deblois spent 2 seasons with Les Habitants in the mid 1980’s, the 2nd of which culminated in the only Stanley Cup title of his career. What began on Broadway in 1977-78 with the New York Rangers would last 14 NHL seasons that saw him represent 6 different teams. Lucien played nearly 1000 regular season games and ended his career a goal shy of 250.
The game wear on this sweater is solid, having obviously been worn for a lengthy period of time. There are stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, plenty of recognizable board paint transfer from the old Forum boards, pilling and approximately 20 of those old time bullet style Montreal Canadiens team-sewn repairs. Removed from the left breast is the alternate Captain’s “A”, a faint outline of which can be made out upon close inspection. A beautiful Stanley Cup era gamer.
